JNHE ARRIVAL
WELCOME to the 2022 VitaFerm Junior National Hereford Expo! The best week of the year is FINALLY here. We hope you are as excited as we are! As you hit the road for Louisville, keep in mind these important details for arrival:
- Everyone MUST enter through Gate 1 (see arrival map above).
- Tack trailers may begin unloading at 2 p.m. Prior to 2 p.m., trailers may stage in Lot J.
- Cattle may unload straight to tieouts at 6 p.m.
- NO CATTLE WILL BE ALLOWED TO UNLOAD PRIOR TO 6 P.M.

- Vet check and welcome gate will be located at the entrance to Lot K.
- Be sure your cattle have Official ID, you have a CVI from an accredited veterinarian within 30 days of JNHE and your ORIGINAL registration papers and double check your animals have a legible tattoo that matches the paper.

As the opening ceremonies and Parade of States return to the 2022 VitaFerm Junior National Hereford Expo, Sunday, July 17, almost 800 exhibitors proudly representing 39 states will parade across the green chips in Broadbent Arena as we celebrate and kick-off the Banners in the Bluegrass! We will begin at 6 p.m. with state group pictures and follow with the parade through the ring to the State Food and Fun Night in West Hall.
SPECIAL NOTE RETIRING NJHA MEMBERS: Please be in Broadbent Arena at promptly 6 p.m. as you will be recognized and lead the parade of states.

As a 2022 Junior National Hereford Expo Partner in the Bluegrass, ST Genetics is giving back to the Hereford Youth Foundation of America by donating 15% of all semen sales placed during the week of the Banners in the Bluegrass to the Foundation 1 Club. Place your semen orders between July 16 - 22 and be stop by their booth located in the Pavilion to say hello and thank them for their continuous commitment to the NJHA!

PEN-TO-PEN
During the JNHE, younger NJHA members or protege are paired with older NJHA members (mentors) and become "pen pals", thus creating the Pen-to-Pen program. The first Pen-to-Pen session will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 17 in W1 & W2. Mentors and proteges will be paired together before the start of this session. The second session will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, July 18 in W1 & W2. We encourage you to visit your pal at their stalls, attend events with them and answer any questions they may have!

BRIDGING THE GAP
Bridging the Gap brings an educational and leadership component outside of the showring to the Junior National Hereford Expo and is a tool that every high school and college age NJHA member should take advantage of while attending the JNHE to get the conversation started about your college and career path. The program serves as a catalyst for building professional skills for junior members and brand representatives and college recruiters will be available to talk one-on-one with juniors and their families. Take advantage of this opportunity from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 18 in W6 & W9!

LAST CALL! The FINAL registration deadline for the 2022 annual Faces of Leadership conference is TOMORROW, July 15!

The mission of the annual Faces of Leadership conference is to empower NJHA members with skills to develop them into the best leaders they can be.Through the Faces of Leadership Conference, young leaders are exposed to opportunities in the industry and the conference cultivates communication skills, encourages working in team settings and focuses on individual development.
