JULY 3 UPDATES

2023 JNHE SHOW PROGRAM

Get ready to make the Mad Dash to the Hereford Bash and hear about all things JNHE. From arrival and stalling to contest and cattle information, Team NJHA covers everything you will need to know as the largest breed junior nationals descends upon Madison, Wis.

IN TIE-OUTS
States have been preassigned stalling areas in tie outs. It is up to the state advisor
where the individual cattle will be stalled within the individual states.
Each animal has been allowed 4 feet in the tie out area.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - EXHIBITORS TAKE NOTE:
Due to liability concerns and recent fire code regulations, generators and fans WILL NOT be allowed in the tie out area in Quann Park at the Alliant Energy Center. This rule will be strictly enforced and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we work to ensure the safety of all cattle stalled in tie outs throughout the week.

IN THE BARNS
The Alliant Energy Center prefers no generators on site, however, if you choose to bring a generator for the barns, they MUST be housed at least 20 feet away from the edge of the building. On the north side of the building, generators MUST be in the first set of parking stalls. On the south side of the building, generators MUST be on grass median. All cords MUST be taped down over the road ways and inside the building. Fire Marshall and Alliant Energy Staff will be policing the generator placement throughout the week and we ask for your cooperation with the generator policy.

Please be advised that there are catering and health code regulations at the Alliant Energy Center. We realize that the individual states eat a lot of meals together. However, we ask that you please respect the catering regulations and keep food preparation in the barn to a minimum and host any meals outside the barn in the camping areas. This is beyond the control of the Junior National Hereford Expo staff and all decisions by catering company and Wisconsin Health Department are final. We appreciate your cooperation in making the 2023 Junior National Hereford Expo a success.

2023 JNHE HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

All cattle, regardless of age, will be required to have a negative individual TB test within 60 days of entering Wisconsin.
