We are in the final days for state information to be collected. State officer information, state advisor contacts and more, helps the NJHA be better prepared for your events and keep you informed throughout the year. NJHA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Twelve outstanding Hereford juniors serve each year on the NJHA Board of Directors. Every year four board members are elected to three-year terms at the annual membership meeting which is held in conjunction with the Junior National Hereford Expo. During their term, directors develop and implement programs and events that serve junior Hereford members from across the nation.


As an advisor, it is required that a nomination is submitted for a candidate from your state to be eligible to run. Applications must be submitted by the junior and nominations must be submitted by the advisor by June 1.

ENTRIES ARE OPEN

The 25th Anniversary of the VitaFerm® Junior National Hereford Expo will be held in Grand Island, Neb., July 6-12, as Hereford juniors celebrate The Grand Daddy of Em All. Entries are open for all cattle and contests. 


Early Bird Entry Deadline: May 15

Final Entry Deadline: June 1

Entries for all contests held in conjunction with the 2024 JNHE are open and the NJHA is excited to welcome all members to participate in educational contests and programs during the 25th JNHE.


Rules for all contests have been updated and adjusted to encourage involvement and success for our junior members.

The Advantage Newsletter is the official voice of the NJHA and is produced two times per year. The Spring newsletter features the Junior National Hereford Expo entry information and the Fall newsletter highlights the yearly events. The Advantage Newsletter is written and produced by the NJHA board and contains valuable information for active junior members.

LIVESTOCK MARKETEERS AG SCHOLARSHIP

For the first time, The Livestock Marketeers Ag Scholarship will be awarded to a young person who is interested in the livestock marketing business and will be open to all college-aged students in all beef breeds including, but not limited to, Angus, Charolais, Gelbvieh, Hereford, Maine-Anjou and Shorthorn.
