A LETTER FROM THE NJHA |
Dear State Advisors,
In less than two weeks, Hereford families and trailers full of cattle will be headed to the Bluegrass State for what’s become known as the best seven days in July. “Live From Louisville” and the 26th Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE) is shaping up to be a summer highlight once again!
State advisors play a critical role in ensuring the week kicks off smoothly. Your preparation and dedication before the trailers are even loaded make all the difference, and I can’t thank you enough for everything you’re doing to get your teams ready.
Last week, we finalized the show program with all cattle entries. This week, we’re focused on stalling assignments in the barns. This newsletter includes everything you need to know about stalling your state at the Kentucky Expo Center. Please read it carefully as you plan for your state's stalling area in West Wing and the Pavilion. Use the provided lists to help prepare your state’s stalling maps.
Next week, we’ll release tie-out stalling information and begin outlining the arrival and unloading process into the Expo Center — so stay tuned!
There are several sign-up forms due ASAP on behalf of your state association to help us be fully prepared for going Live From Louisville.
We also hope your state is planning to join us for the JNHE Tailgate Party on Sunday night! Be sure to check out the new changes to the event. A big thank you to Certified Hereford Beef (CHB) for providing all the meat for this year’s party. Sign up today and let us know what CHB product you’ll be grilling!
To access all necessary forms, please use the State Advisor password: JNHE25.
Thank you again for the critical role you play in making JNHE a success.
See you soon in Louisville!

CHB PRODUCT OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM |
-
CHB Clod Tender – 1 Case (60 pounds) - The clod tender, also known as the petite tender, is a small, tender muscle found within the shoulder clod (chuck) of beef. It’s similar in size and texture to a pork tenderloin and is commonly used for grilling, roasting or slicing into medallions. This cut is one of two sub-primals in the chuck and is located between the chuck roll and the brisket.
-
CHB Ball Tip Sirloin – 1 Case (60 pounds - The ball tip steak or roast is a lean, flavorful cut from the bottom sirloin, specifically the "ball tip" section. While less tender than the top sirloin, it remains highly versatile. Ball tip is often marinated and grilled, or sliced thin for sandwiches and stir-fries. This boneless cut is ideal for stir-frying, grilling, roasting, smoking, or stewing.
-
CHB Ground Chuck – 50 Pounds - Ground chuck is versatile and flavorful, maintaining its shape well during cooking. It is an excellent choice for burgers, tacos, and meatballs.
SIGN UP REGARDLESS OF THE ITEM YOUR STATE WILL BE BRINGING.
